The last time I saw Boo
She was looking seriously hot/evil in this months Revolver Magazine.
Was last night in the hallway of her apartment. I dropped in after the gym to say hello but I wasn’t allowed in to her apparently filthy apartment! I assured her that I would not judge her, as certainly not as harshly I was judging her for making me stay in the hall! But still she resisted.
I said to her, “But you are from the Midwest! I thought that you could just drop in on Midwesterners?”
“No,” she corrects me, “That’s tidy Midwesterners. I’m not one of those.”
She was knee deep in heavy metal quilts and feeling genuine concern about becoming a shut in.
She can make lovely patterns on cupckaes using only two kinds of frosting and a butter knife.
We were at the Hideout talking about using future cell phones to teleport into the Louvre and Josh exclaimed, “Can you imagine the roaming charges?!”
She was whipping up mint juleps in my kitchen and not being shy at all about how much burbon each one got. WOO. My cheeks were pink with just one minty sip.
In other words: she’s one heck of a bartender.
is that he doesn’t like olives but is willing to bravely try them every now and then.
It is interesting how someone’s goals can give you this secret insight that only time together would have previously provided. You pick up on the vibe from this public-private information and are able to determine how your internal outlook may align with this unknown person.
This is how things went for HaikuGirl and me. We met for tea and knitting and general yammering on Sunday morning, after coming across each other on 43things. Our fun and positive experience proved to be a very real life example of the community building that I think the 43 sites hopes to achieve.
I knew from her goals that she would be a crafty person that is open, interesting and enjoyable, and I was right!
Great to meet you HaikuHeather!
